What We Do

In this role, the County Auditor protects taxpayers and businesses from possible monetary loss which may occur while:
  • Pumping gasoline
  • Purchasing prepackaged or deli meats
  • Purchasing fuel oil
  • Checking out at a store which scans an order
  • Drying clothes in a time-measured machine
  • Purchasing milk or other liquid commodity

The Auditor strictly enforces Ohio’s Weights and Measures laws. Scales and gas pumps are tested annually for accuracy. Look for our seal!
